Kobe YMCA College Japanese department provides a class for students who would like to go onto university. Even in the beginner's class, teachers give emphasis on writing and speaking. They also offer guidance individually about not only Japanese but also career options and interviews. Students can take the preparation class for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), English and mathematics required for university admission.

There are vocational schools for animation in Japan. However all classes are provided in Japanese, so please study Japanese language first. The Kobe YMCA College Japanese department gives students guidance on career options and preparation for admissions. We recommend students to study Japanese from basic and then enter vocational school.

You need to learn high-level Japanese for finding employment.. In the course of Kobe YMCA College Japanese department, students learn to get advanced Japanese skills for business, like putting together information from newspapers and giving a presentation. Kobe YMCA also provides a preparation class for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (N1, N2) and the Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT).

Kobe YMCA College Japanese department offers the preparation class for N1/N2, but you can also study in the Japanese conversation course. Please choose the class for your schedule.

We have a Japanese Class for Business. In this class, students learn practical business terms and expressions, and understand business documents that even successful candidates of the N1do not cover. The Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT) is a test for measuring proficiency in the use of practical Japanese for business purposes. This class is also the preparation class for the Business Japanese Proficiency Test.

The Japanese conversation course provides Kanji class once a week (on Wednesday). You learn Kanji efficiently because you often see those Kanjis at supermarkets, banks , and situations in your daily life. In each term (Spring, Autumn, Winter), we have 10 lessons.

Japanese conversation course provides beginner's classes. We have 5 times a week class (in the afternoon) and twice a week class (in the morning). Please choose your class at your own pace and purpose. You can join the class in the middle of a semester.

class is performed focusing on conversation, so it is OK if you don't understand Kanji. Let's start studying Hiragana and Katakana step by step in conversations. We also provide Hiragana / Katakana class (on Wed. / 10 times).

In YMCA, all teachers are Japanese and teach in Japanese. You may feel it is difficult, but if you concentrate on listening to only Japanese, you will be getting used to Japanese and improve faster. Experienced teachers teach Japanese with each student's level, so don't worry about it.

The classrooms are open after class almost every day for students who want to study by themselves. Students who can not concentrate on studying at home study at YMCA before going back home.

Unfortunately we do not have a dormitory, but we introduce accommodations near school through real estates agencies. Students will be able to apply for the Kobe International House, too.
